Thirteen Canadians have earned Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation after passing the Convention Industry Council’s (CIC) January exam.
The 13 successful Canadians include Jodi Brackett, CMP, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Toronto; David Dewar, CMP, Meeting Management Services, Hamilton, Ont.; Phil Ecclestone, CMP, Golden Planners Inc., Ottawa; Mary Holmes, CMP, Mary Kay Cosmetics Ltd., Oakville, Ont.; Marie Klobucar, CMP, CTC, University of Ottawa, Continuing Medical Education, Ottawa; and Carolina Moore, CMP, National Judicial Institute, Stittsville, Ont..
Also on the list are Susan Angela Noaro, CMP, Cartier Place Suite Hotel, Ottawa; Heather O’Meara, CMP, National Judicial Institute, Aylmer, Que.; Kristina Sammut, CMP, Ministry of Government Services, Toronto; Jodi Spivak, CMP, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Toronto; Paula Andrea Spizzirri, CMP, Carlson Marketing, Mississauga, Ont.; Jessica Ward, CMP, Golden Planners, Ottawa; Stephanie Whiteman, CMP, Direct Energy Centre & Allstream Centre at Exhibition Place, Toronto.
According to the CIC, in January, 368 people earned the credential, which demonstrates an individual’s comprehensive knowledge of meeting management and a commitment to the meeting profession.
Since its inception in 1985, the CMP designation has been earned by more than 14,000 meeting professionals in 35 countries and territories worldwide.
