Meeting +Incentive Travel’s HALL of FAME honours planners and suppliers who have made a mark on Canada’s meetings, events and incentives industry.
BECOMING A HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE
1. GET NOMINATED or NOMINATE YOURSELF! One nomination is all it takes.
The 2014 Hall of Fame Call for Nominations opens FRIDAY, JANUARY 10, 2014. Forms will be available online and at industry events attended by M+IT staff members. Just look for the Hall of Fame banner.
Who can nominate who?
· Members of the industry can nominate colleagues and peers
- Members of the industry can also self-nominate
There is no need to solicit multiple nominations.
What are the categories?
INDUSTRY PLANNER: Canada’s top meeting or incentive-travel planner—someone who represents everything a planning professional should be.
INDUSTRY INNOVATOR: An individual planner or supplier who has implemented a service or product that has increased productivity and/or modernized the industry.
INDUSTRY BUILDER: An individual planner or supplier who has developed best practices, created professional guidelines and/or built a product or service that has improved the way the industry does business.
INDUSTRY MENTOR : An individual planner or supplier who through his or her expertise, professional influence or academic position has provided others with the opportunity, inspiration or ability to pursue excellence.
INDUSTRY VOLUNTEER: An individual planner or supplier who gives freely of his or her time or expertise in the promotion of industry associations, groups, professional industry chapters or charity work.
INDUSTRY RISING STAR : A planner or supplier, with two to five years experience in the industry, who has demonstrated leadership and the desire to become an ambassador for the industry.
2. MAKE YOUR CASE! Do the Paperwork
Once the call for nominations closes, nominees will be sent forms to complete. They will be asked to outline their accomplishments and to answer category specific questions. This is the nominee’s chance to make his or her case for being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
AFTER THAT THE JUDGES TAKE OVER
When these forms are returned to M+IT all mentions of a person’s name or company name(s) will be deleted. The submissions will then be evaluated in a blind judging and three finalists selected in each category.
AND THE INDUCTEES ARE…
The 2014 Hall of Fame inductees will be announced live during a special ceremony on the first day of IncentiveWorks, the Canada’s leading MICE convention and trade show, running August 19 + 20, 2014 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
