Air Canada flights are continuing without delays, as the airline’s 3,800 Canadian sales and service agents walked off the job at midnight last night.
Under a contingency plan the airline announced last week, non-unionized employees will fill in for its striking workers.
The country’s largest carrier said it intends to continue to offer a full schedule in the event of a strike, according to the National Post. But Air Canada also warned its customers to anticipate long line-ups Tuesday and urged them to check-in for their flights ahead of time online or on a mobile device.
In addition, the airline suggests customers avoid travelling with checked baggage.
