Air Canada, Spanair Expand Canada-Spain Service

Air Canada and Star Alliance partner Spanair have signed a codeshare agreement that expands their networks between popular business and leisure destinations in Canada and Spain.

aircanada1Air Canada and Star Alliance partner Spanair have signed a codeshare agreement that expands their networks between popular business and leisure destinations in Canada and Spain.

This follows Air Canada’s re-introduction, on May 1, of non-stop flights between Toronto and Madrid.

Under the agreement, Air Canada’s network has expanded to serve six destinations in Spain on codeshare flights, designated by the AC code, operated by Spanair between Madrid and Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Alicante, Bilbao and Valencia.

In other news, Air Canada has launched daily, non-stop service between Calgary and San Diego, Cal.

Air Canada flight AC8307 departs Calgary at 12:55 p.m., arriving in San Diego at 3:00 p.m. Air Canada flight AC8308 departs San Diego at 11:55 a.m. and arrives in Calgary at 4:05 p.m.
