Air Transat will resume seasonal service from Edmonton to Frankfurt, Germany, beginning June 15.
Service to Frankfurt runs from June 15 to September 28, 2010, with departures from Edmonton International Airport (EIA) every Tuesday and a return flight every Wednesday.
“Frankfurt is easily one of our most-requested destinations, so securing the route’s return was a top priority for our air service development team,” says Peter McCart, EIA’s vice-president of marketing and business development.
A key hub for incentive travel groups travelling to Germany, Frankfurt Airport is that country’s busiest airport by passenger traffic and serves.
Its transportation-hub status is supported by strong motorway and rail connections, with two train terminals directly adjacent to the airport.
