Aloft hotels has launched four properties around the world, surpassing its 50th opening.

The recent debuts of Aloft New York Brooklyn; Aloft Zhengzhou Shangjie and Aloft Haiyang, in China; and Aloft Coimbatore Singanallur, in India, bring the brand to 52 hotels worldwide since its 2008 launch.

Moving forward, the brand expects to increase its global portfolio to more than 70 hotels by 2013.

“Demand for Aloft in North America has been particularly healthy and the potential for additional growth in fast-growing economies like China and India is enormous,” said Simon Turner, president of global development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Aloft’s parent company.

Six new hotels are slated to open by the end of 2011, in China, India, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Columbia, Panama and Costa Rica.
