Planners are constantly under pressure to ‘bring the wow’ when it comes to the food and beverage (f&b) portion of their programmes.

The good news is, there have never been more, or better, choices in f&b. One example is food-themed team-building.

Vancouver-based wine consultancy House Wine, for instance, hosts wine- and cooking-themed team-building.

Called Big Night, sessions involve groups divided into two to four teams, taking turns at various cooking and wine stations.

Toronto-based Three Forks Rewards offers team-building sessions typically held in resorts, though they can also take place in corporate offices, parking lots or aboard a custom-chartered ship.

Sessions often take the form of Iron Chef-type competitions.
