The Broadmoor's reno will upgrade f&b outlets.
As it moves towards its 100th anniversary celebration in 2018, the 744-room Broadmoor hotel, located at the gateway to the Colorado Rocky Mountains, in Colorado Springs, Colo., has announced an additional $60-million to its multi-tiered enhancement project.
The first phase, completed in May, saw the renovation of the 6,300-sq.-ft. Cheyenne Lodge, offering both indoor and outdoor conference and event space, with views overlooking the mountains and Colorado Springs.
With its rustic timber and split-log exterior, the property captures the flavour of an authentic Colorado lodge.
Phase two, to be unveiled in April, 2013, will see an upgrade and expansion of food and beverage outlets, plus the addition of an activity centre called PLAY, featuring bowling lanes, billiards, board games and a restaurant.
Phase three calls for another restaurant resembling an Italian villa.
The historic 3,000-acre property includes three championship golf courses, a spa and fitness centre, a tennis program, 26 retail boutiques and 18 food and beverage outlets.
