This year’s edition of the Canadian Special Events Expo, which runs March 25-27 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, will feature two new technology-centered education streams as well as two of the hottest social tickets of the season.
The annual event, which combines a conference with a B2B trade show, draws producers, designers, planners, brand specialists and marketing executives from across Canada.
This year’s education features two new technology-driven tracks. The Event Tech-OLOGY Summit looks into the world of live and online event technology and will introduce participants to cutting-edge meeting tools. APPSTRAVAGANZA is a one-day event app boot camp that offers attendees hands-on instruction and information on the most innovative and effective online app technology.
In addition, Expo14 will offer a range of sessions led by industry innovators such as Ben Grossman (senior strategist with Jack Morton Worldwide), Chad Kaydo (former editor-in-chief of Biz Bash), and Leila Weller, business events marketing specialist with Bell Mobility.
The Expo’s trade show will showcase goods and services from more than 150 vendors. Special show highlights include 2014 Industry Trends, the top Ten Cocktails of the Year, and a Food Truck Festival, complete with street buskers, midway and interactive games, all available for special event rentals.

- Night Circus Live: The 17th Star Awards Gala lights up with a live interpretation of the famous novel.
- Opening Night Party: “Inconic” at the Sony Centre for Performing Arts, Produced by e=mc2 event management & the Idea Hunter will feature live premieres of the most cutting edge AV technology.
- 3rd Annual CSE Readers Choice Awards will be announced live on the show floor at 4:30 pm The awards are given out in 16 categories ranging from favourite new venue to DJ to favorite Blog and favourite florist. Voting is live online until minutes before winners are announced.
