Cancun’s Lakam Center, at dusk.
Cancun’s largest exhibition space, Lakam Center, has just completed a six-month renovation and now offers 242,000 sq. ft. of indoor surface space accommodating more than 15,000 attendees.
Considered one of the largest meeting venues in Latin America and the biggest in Cancun, the centre is a short drive from Cancun International Airport and 15 minutes from the Hotel Zone.
The newly upgraded venue offers four versatile buildings suitable for large conventions, congresses, sporting and cultural events and musical performances. Additionally, there is an extensive area for the staging of outdoor events, plus parking for more than 500 vehicles.
Designed to withstand strong hurricane winds, the renovated building features a sophisticated fire-prevention system, private security system, new electrical cables and updated air-conditioning installations.
The facility is one of the few Cancun venues able to host large-scale, high-impact events like the upcoming Flight Center Global Gathering Conference.
