The Canadian Event Audit Advisory Council (CEAAC) has developed auditing standards for expositions and events in Canada and approved its first recognized auditing organization, BPA Worldwide.

The CEAAC was formed by a group of trade and consumer show professionals to provide credibility and representative standards for the Canadian trade and consumer show industries.

Exposition auditing is the practice of hiring a third-party company to verify attendance numbers, demographics and provide further research on the audience to current and potential exhibitors, while abiding by an established set of industry standards and practices.

The audit standards will be reviewed bi-annually by the advisory committee.

Companies wishing to apply to CEAAC for recognized status can download an application form at their website
