COMO Miami will be the company’s first U.S. hotel

Launched in 1991 and headquartered in Singapore, COMO Hotels & Resorts will be opening its first hotel in the U.S. in the fall of 2013.
With direct access to the city’s iconic South Beach, the 74-room, luxury, ocean-side Como Miami (the official name is pending) will be housed in an original 1920s building in the historic Art Deco district.
With interiors created by Italian designer Paola Navone, the hotel will include a COMO Shambhala wellness area and a seafood restaurant featuring health-focused COMO cuisine. The concept of the hotel will be in keeping with COMO brand values highlighting wellness, cuisine, adventure and culture, service and design with a strong, approach to sustainability.
The Miami opening will be COMO’s fourth city property. The three others are located in London and Bangkok. The Miami hotel will be one of three new properties opening in this year. Point Yamu by COMO, will open in Phuket, Thailand in November. The third location is yet to be named.
