The CityCube Berlin will be finished in 2014.
Construction has begun on the CityCube Berlin, the new trade fair, congress and event arena in the German capital.
The first events will be taking place in just 18 months in the multi-purpose hall on the Berlin ExpoCenter City grounds.
Designed to accommodate meetings and exhibitions, the facility is being constructed on the site previously occupied by the Deutschlandhalle.
It will be able to accommodate 10,000 for events. One column-free hall, for instance, features a ceiling height of almost 40 ft. and, with a capacity of 5,000, is suited for large plenary sessions, exhibitions, concerts and events.
The lower floor of this building, at the South Entrance to the Exhibition Grounds, can host 4,000.
In addition, the facility houses another eight smaller rooms, as well as meetings rooms and offices on the upper floor.
