ALHI Opens Toronto Office
Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has opened a national sales office in Toronto, ALHI’s first office outside the U.S.
Leading the Toronto office is area sales director Susan Bernad, who joins ALHI from HRG Events and Meetings Management. Prior to that, she was director of group sales for Deerhurst Resort, in Huntsville, Ont., and led the Toronto regional office for Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts.
For over 20 years, ALHI has served the meetings, incentive, conventions and expositions marketplace, with its national sales responsibilities for its worldwide membership of over 100 Four- and Five-Diamond/Star hotels and resorts.
Scottsdale CVB Appoints Travel Marketing Experts as Canadian PR Rep
Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has named Toronto-based Travel Marketing Experts Inc. as its Canadian public-relations rep.
“Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau is an award-winning and dynamic tourism organization and my company looks forward to promoting Scottsdale in Canada and increasing the visibility of what it has to offer Canadian leisure and business travellers,” said Travel Marketing Experts president Chris Ryall.
Toronto Planners, Suppliers Donate $1,100 to Nassau School
During the May long weekend, the 24-woman Twilight Golf group capped a Bahamas golf sojourn by donating over $1,000 USD to a local school.
Part of a networking group of Toronto meeting planners and suppliers, the contingent donated $1,100 USD to the Adelaide Primary School, located southwest of Nassau, to assist with the inauguration of its new library. The school’s principal, David Dean, met with the group to express his thanks for the donation.
Key sponsors of the Twilight Golf trip included Janet Cuffie, of the Bahamas Tourist Board, Kathryn McClean, of WestJet, and Sheraton Cable Beach.
