Aloha! Starwood Hotels & Resorts new lifestyle brand, aloft hotels, has partnered with fitness company PumpOne to supply portable personal-training programmes for guests.
Guests can download aloft-customized workouts from each of seven fitness categories to their computers, PDAs, iPods and iPhones. These devices can then be linked to the aloft plug-and-play device, which is connected to a 42-inch LCD television screen in each guestroom. Additionally, guests will be able to purchase full-length, customized aloft/PumpOne workouts via the aloft broadband channel through the hotel’s website.
The programme also features healthy menu items from the hotel’s eatery, re:fuel by aloft, and exclusive entertainment content for SPG TV, the aloft in-room TV channel. PumpOne will develop 21 customized workouts – three workouts for each of seven fitness programmes – from cross-training to yoga.
