Quebec City’s Fairmont Le Château Frontenac has completed a major renovation that cost over $12-million and took more than two years.
The project renovated more than 500 guestrooms, including five Heritage suites, and introduced Fairmont Gold, a 46-room boutique hotel located within the Frontenac.
The new guestroom decor combines classicism and contemporary touches such as flat-screen televisions. Additionally, the refurbishment transformed two restaurants, integrated high-speed Internet access in all guestrooms and incorporated significant masonry work to preserve the historic building.
On the meetings side, the Chateau Frontenac features 22,000 sq. ft. of space spread over 14 meeting rooms. The ballroom accommodates up to 550, banquet-style and 1,000, cocktail-style.
