Concorde Appoints Montpetit Marketing

Concorde Hotels & Resorts has appointed Toronto-based sales and marketing company Montpetit Marketing Services to expand Concorde’s presence and enhance brand awareness in Canada.

Established in 1989 by Fleurette Montpetit, the marketing company aims to generate and increase the levels of interest in Concorde Hotels & Resorts with Canadian travel agencies, corporations, airline companies, tourism offices, conference and incentive agencies and tour operators.  

The Concorde Hotels & Resorts Group owns, manages or represents 33 hotels worldwide, including such landmark properties as the Hotel de Crillon, Hotel Lutetia and Hotel du Louvre, in Paris.

MPI Names Joan England VP of Marketplace Performance

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has named Joan England president of marketplace performance at its Dallas office.

England will be responsible for MPI’s global sales efforts, including overseeing all revenue streams for advertising and strategic partnerships, total account management, as well as fundraising for the MPI Foundation.

England has extensive experience in travel management and has most recently provided sales and marketing consulting services to a diverse set of travel and technology clients across the U.S.
