Delta Fredericton Chef Named Culinary Ambassador

The Delta Fredericton Hotel’s executive chef Héctor Jiménez-Bravo has been named the 2007 Culinary Ambassador of the Year by the Canadian Culinary Federation. This is the second consecutive year Jiménez-Bravo has won the award.

Using flavours and techniques from his native Colombia, influences from his time in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Asian-inspired presentations blended with classical French preparation methods, Jiménez-Bravo is putting his stamp on the local gastronomic landscape.

Tracey Webster New Director of Sales, Bear Mountain Resort

Tracey Webster has been named director of sales for Bear Mountain Resort, in Victoria, B.C.

Webster’s career has included 18 years at Tourism Victoria, most recently as director of sales and before that, travel counselor, marketing coordinator, convention services coordinator and manager of meetings and incentive travel, a position she held for seven years.

JCH Events Launched

Corporate planner Joanne Henry has launched JCH Events Creation and Management, a Toronto-based firm specializing in corporate and charitable events. She brings to the role eight years experience planning corporate events for leading Canadian financial and sports-entertainment firms.

Prior to launching her company, Henry was events director at AGF Management Ltd.; executive director of the Toronto Blue Jays Charitable Foundation for the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club; and national event planner in Merrill Lynch Canada’s private-client division.
