Toronto’s International Centre plans an autumn launch for its 48,000-sq.-ft. conference facility, now under construction.
When completed, the conference centre will house a 17,000-sq.-ft. ballroom, divisible into four sections of about 4,200 sq. ft. each, with two end sections further dividing into three smaller breakout rooms of about 1,400 sq. ft. each. Adjacent to the ballroom are two separate meeting rooms of 2,028 sq. ft. and 2,900 sq. ft. Additionally, the facility will feature a substantial lobby and pre-function space, business-centre services, catering and an 8,000-sq.-ft. kitchen.
Generous ceiling heights and common areas, along with well-planned room designs, will allow flexibility. Outfitted with a separate lobby and private amenities, the conference centre can function independent of the adjacent 500,000-sq.-ft. exhibit space or in tandem with it.
