RMR Names Stan Carter Director, Caribbean, Central and South America
The RMR Group has announced that as part of a partnership with Brand Caribbean, Stanton “Stan” Carter will join RMR as director, Caribbean and Central and South America, to fill the position left vacant by the death of Andy Parris.
Carter has served as manager, Canada, for the Barbados Tourism Authority, Canadian sales manager, Divi Hotels and director of tourism for the Commonwealth of Dominica. He is currently CEO and managing director of Brand Caribbean, a tourism marketing and consulting firm. He has been actively involved with the development and promotion of Caribbean tourism most of his career and has served with many industry-related organizations.
Adventure West Names Aaron Smith Director of Marketing, Operations
Adventure West Resorts has promoted Aaron Smith to director of marketing and operations. In Smith’s new and expanded role, he will oversee all marketing, operations and human resources management of the Elkin Creek Guest Ranch, Ocean Explorer Sportfishing and Adventure Fjord Heliskiing.
Since 2005, Smith has worked with Langley, B.C.-based Adventure West, where he has increased brand awareness and growth for the company. Prior to joining Adventure West, Smith was vice-president of marketing for Flight Centre Group and manager of marketing and special projects for Great Canadian Casinos.

On June 26, members of Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE Canada) began their morning with a refreshing walk along Toronto’s Harbourfront. Proceeds from the registration fee were donated to SITE’s Run the World campaign, in support of UNICEF. This global programme promotes health and fitness amongst the membership. A big “thank you” to SITE member Pam Graham, for leading the walk, and to the Radisson Admiral Hotel, Queen’s Quay for their hospitality.
