SilverBirch Makes Three Appointments

By Don Douloff, July 17, 2008

SilverBirch Makes Three Appointments
SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts has made appointments at three of its properties, naming Dan C. McIlhone general manager of the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Canmore; Geoffrey Caswell-Murphy executive chef of the Citadel Halifax Hotel; and Sandy Goodine sales manager at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Resort Fredericton.

McIlhone joins the Radisson from Mountain Springs Resort and Conference Center, in Collingwood, Ont. and brings over 10 years of general-managing experience and a history of strong leadership in the areas of rooms and security.

In 2003, Caswell-Murphy joined the Citadel Halifax Hotel kitchen team and most recently was executive sous-chef. Since then, his strong skills and talent for menu development have placed him in a natural leadership role.

Goodine has worked as a catering sales manager at The Happy Baker in Fredericton and, before that, gained extensive sales experience at Raingrow and Crombie, Kennedy & Nasmark.
