Skyline International Development has bought Ontario’s Horseshoe Valley Resort for $37-million, expecting to create synergies with a waterfront community it’s spearheading in Ontario.
“The acquisition is a natural fit with the 825-acre, master-planned waterfront community we already have underway in Port McNicoll,” says Gil Blutrich, Skyline founder and president. “The addition of Horseshoe Valley, with its ski hills, trails and pair of world-class golf courses gives us an extraordinary opportunity to offer both Canadians and foreign residents a year-round resort village.”
Horseshoe Valley includes 688 acres, 23 ski runs, 35 km of cross-country trails, two established golf courses ranked among the top 50 in Canada, 8,000 sq. ft. of executive meeting and banquet facilities and a 102-room hotel and spa.
