Hilton Toronto’s Tundra restaurant and the Canadian Opera Company are serving up a new season of Appetite for Opera dinners, premiering Sept. 25, with Mozart’s Don Giovanni and featuring special menus created by executive chef Kreg Graham.

Each Appetite for Opera event begins with a cocktail reception at 6:15 p.m., followed by a multi-course dinner at 7:00 p.m. Menus takes their inspiration from the composer and his background and the opera’s setting, characters and story. A wine tasting accompanies each course, while COC Speakers Bureau rep Robert Morassutti and Graham provide links and insights between food, wine and opera.

Also featured in the series will be Rusalka, by Antonin Dvorak, on Jan. 22, 2009, highlighting a Czech-inspired menu, and Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, on May 6, 2009.
