Porter Airlines will be flying to Chicago Midway International Airport from Toronto City Centre Airport (TCCA), with the first flights departing Nov. 12. An initial schedule of three roundtrip flights per weekday and two each on Saturday and Sunday will be in effect until Jan. 7. As of Jan. 8, the full schedule of six daily weekday flights and added weekend service will be implemented.
In addition, Porter is returning to Mont Tremblant, Que., with a more frequent winter schedule from TCCA. Flights from downtown Toronto begin Dec. 19 as often as five times per week. Flights are available Thursday, Friday, Saturday and twice Sunday, depending on time of year.
In other news, Porter has exercised options for two Bombardier Aerospace Q400 aircraft, representing aircraft 17 and 18 in the Porter fleet, with a scheduled delivery at the end of 2009. Also, the airline now includes the cost of fuel in its advertised base fares, better reflecting the final cost of a flight.
