Icebar Orlando, the first permanent bar made of ice in the U.S., has opened, allowing guests to ‘chill out,’ literally.
Located on International Drive close to the Orange County Convention Center, Icebar maintains a temperature of 27 degrees Fahreinheit (-2.8 Celsuis) amongst 50 tons of ice designed, cut and sculptured by carvers to form walls, bar, tables, sofas and chairs. Guests don a thermal hooded cape, gloves and foot coverings to keep warm during their 45-minute visit to the Ice Palace exhibit, enhanced by a light-and-sound show.
Guests can warm up in the 3,000-sq.-ft. Chill Lounge bar featuring live entertainment, caviar flights, premium beverage service, signature drinks and a gift shop. Icebar accommodates corporate functions and events for up to 475 people.
