Starwood Hotels plans to open Sheraton Vancouver Airport in Richmond, B.C., by Jan. 1, 2010, in time for the Winter Olympic Games. A re-branding of the Best Western Richmond Inn, the 389-room hotel will debut as a Sheraton following an extensive refurbishment.
The renovation will refresh all guestrooms, corridors and public spaces, including the lobby, which will offer free WiFi, desktop computers, television viewing, newspapers and magazines. The property’s all-day restaurant, Harold’s, will be re-branded, to serve contemporary cuisine.
Rooms will include 37-inch, LCD flat-panel televisions, oversized work desks, comfortable seating and Sheraton’s new Sweet Sleeper bed. Sheraton Club Level accommodations and an exclusive Club Lounge will also be added.
Meeting space will total 25,000 sq. ft., including 21 event rooms.
