Work continues on the luxury golf course Tiger Woods is designing on the outskirts of Dubai. Known as the Tiger Woods Dubai, the project, touted as the first course in the world designed by the world’s number one ranked golfer, will be part of a massive theme-park complex known as Dubailand planned for the desert area along the city’s edge.
The project’s first stage will consist of the 18-hole, par 72 course, as well as a golf academy and driving range, and is slated for completion sometime during the last three months of 2009. A hotel and most of the gated housing community planned for the project is expected to be finished by the third quarter of 2010. The entire project is expected to cost $1.09-billion.
