James Piggott Receives Silver Medal at Culinary World Olympics
James Piggott, executive chef of The Westin Prince, Toronto, has won a team silver medal in the regional category at the 22nd annual IKA Culinary World Olympics, in Erfut, Germany, as a member of Culinary Team Ontario. This is the third time he’s been selected to represent Ontario.
The competition convenes the best chefs from around the world to compete on national and regional teams for a week.
Sandy Biback Named to PCMA Canada East Board as Director, Student Affairs
Sandy Biback, CMP, CMM, Imagination+Meeting Planners Inc. and adjunct faculty at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and George Brown College, has been named to the PCMA Canada East Board as director, student affairs.
In this role, Biback will be in constant contact with all colleges and universities within Canada East, working with students and faculty to promote PCMA, as well as honouring students with various scholarships.
Biback has been a member of the meetings industry for over 30 years and has been teaching for the past 10 years. She takes over from Catherine Anderson-Brown, CMP, who championed the role for five years.
