The Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort plans to add 5,665 sq. ft. of meeting space to its 30,000 sq. ft. of ocean-front space. The $3-million project will add an ocean-view ballroom, divisible into six breakouts, as well as an ocean-front patio and an atrium bar in the centre of the lobby.
The atrium bar, scheduled to open in late December, will serve a light menu created by hotel executive chef Eric Demaeyer. The ballroom project is expected to be completed by August, 2009.
Set on 150 acres, the resort offers 426 ocean-view guestrooms, including 23 suites and 82 private villas. Amenities also include an 18-hole golf course, 700 yards of white-sand beach and seven pools, including an infinity pool and two heated whirlpools.
