Boutique Hotels Promotes Diane Mombourquette to VP, CFO; Names Carly Hall Manager of Black Rock Resort

Boutique Hotels & Resorts of British Columbia has promoted Diane Mombourquette to vice-president and chief financial officer and named Carly Hall to hotel manager of the new Black Rock Oceanfront Resort, set to open its doors on Jan. 16, in Ucluelet, B.C.

Diane MombourquetteMombourquette will oversee Boutique Hotels’ sales and marketing, information technology, finance and employee-experience departments.

Mombourquette worked for nine years with Tourism Whistler in various capacities, including director of business operations and vice-president of finance and operations. Prior to her most recent appointment, Mombourquette was opening general manager for Black Rock resort. She will be based in the company’s Vancouver office and will continue to support the opening of the property.

Carly HallHall started her hospitality career at Tofino’s Middle Beach Lodge, before moving to spend six years at the Long Beach Lodge Resort, where she was most recently general manager of the four-star luxury resort. In July, Boutique Hotels hired her as director of operations for Black Rock.

 

Carlson Appoints Aurora Toth VP, Marketing for Country Inns

Aurora TothCarlson Hotels Worldwide has appointed Aurora Toth vice-president of marketing for the Country Inns & Suites By Carlson. Toth will be responsible for managing all agency relationships, advertising, promotions, interactive marketing and all marketing through loyalty programmes for Country Inns & Suites By Carlson.

Toth brings more than 20 years of marketing experience with her, encompassing several corporate leadership roles as well as consultant work on customer insight and marketing strategies for startup companies and agency clients. Prior to her most recent work as a consultant, she served as vice-president of marketing for Christopher & Banks Corp.
