The Canadian Association of Exposition Management (CAEM) has launched a course providing practical knowledge on health and safety issues pertaining to meetings and events. The one-day course, Health and Safety Law & Risk Management for the Exposition Industry in Canada, outlines, in detail, how to avoid potential liability issues. It focuses on practical training and addresses the full range of health and safety issues, beginning with the planning process and carrying through to move-in and move-out.
“CAEM is offering you an opportunity to learn about the law in a way that’s customized to the specific issues faced by our industry,” says Lisa McDonald, chief operating officer, Prospectors Developers Association of Canada. “It’s a huge advantage. You’re not going to get that anywhere else. It applies to every single person on the show floor.”
