West JetAir Canada, Air Transat, Jazz Air LP and WestJet have partnered to create the National Airlines Council of Canada (NACC), a trade association furthering the interests of the Canadian commercial airline industry.

The NACC is committed to securing the regulatory changes needed to ensure that safe, sustainable and competitive air travel is available to Canadians.

“Canadian passengers and airlines are being forced to bear a burden of regulations, fees and taxes unlike those levied in any other transportation sector,” says a NACC press release.

A coalition including the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, the International Air Transport Association, the Hotel Association of Canada and the Canadian Airports Council has committed to work together with NACC and other like-minded organizations on common issues.
