TCL Board Names Scott Ferguson Interim President & CEO
The board of directors of Trade Centre Limited (TCL), based in Halifax, has named Scott Ferguson interim president & CEO, effective April 1, 2009. Ferguson is currently TCL’s executive vice-president and will succeed outgoing president & CEO Fred MacGillivray.
Ferguson has played a pivotal role in attracting major events and concerts to Halifax, resulting in an estimated $2.5-billion in direct and incremental economic impacts for the city and Nova Scotia during the past 15 years. He has been working on behalf of TCL, alongside the Province of Nova Scotia and Halifax Regional Municipality, on the procurement process for a new convention centre.
Based in Halifax, TCL is a provincial crown corporation that operates six business units: World Trade & Convention Centre, Exhibition Park, Ticket Atlantic, Halifax Metro Centre, Events Halifax and World Trade Centre Atlantic Canada.
