Visit London has launched a London Accommodation Charter to simplify the process of sourcing hotel rooms for events needing at least 1,000 beds.
Created in conjunction with 12 major hotel groups representing over 39,598 London hotel bedrooms, the charter sets out standard allocation release times (attrition), commission rates, check-in/out times, no-shows and cancellations policy, complimentary-room policy and establishes similar single/double room rates.
The charter applies to accommodation blocks of 1,000 rooms on peak night across multiple brands.
A number of London hotels have signed on: Accor Hospitality, City Inn, Guoman, Hilton, Hyatt Regency, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Marriott, Millennium & Copthorne, Park Plaza, Premier Inn, Radisson Edwardian and Travelodge.
Moreover, the charter will be an on-going document, which new hotels can join.
