The Convention Industry Council (CIC) is partnering with members of the local meeting, convention and exhibition industry in 17 cities to host Accepted Practices Exchange (APEX) city discussion groups on green meetings and events.
Launched March 16, the series held discussion groups in Atlanta, Washington, DC, Vancouver, Portland, Ore., San Diego, Chicago, Gainesville, Fla., and Louisville, Ky. Next up are Baltimore, Md. (March 20) and Seattle (March 31).
In late May, discussion groups will unfold in Denver, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, South Florida, Toronto and Frankfurt.
These town-hall-style meetings will review and comment on the recommendations of the Green Meetings and Events Practice Panel, which is creating industry standards in a number of key areas.
For those unable to attend, a virtual discussion board will be coming soon to the APEX solution website.
