Stronco Welcomes Back Two Former Employees

VictoriaGeneral-service contractor Stronco has welcomed two former employees, Trevor King and Steve Holden, back into their sales and operations divisions.

In 2002, King left Mississauga, Ont,-based Stronco, but has returned to the company as an account executive. He began his career with the Hamilton Tiger Cats as event manager for game-day events, and brings over 15 years of trade-show and special-events experience with him.

Holden has been in the trade-show industry since 1995. In 2006, he left Stronco to join Tennis Canada, managing the Rogers Cup tournament, and returns to Stronco as project manager.

 

CHIP Names Walter van Beek GM of Best Western Charlottetown

CHIP Hospitality has appointed Walter van Beek general manager of Best Western Charlottetown.

After a career with Air Canada as director of in-flight service, van Beek joined Delta Dailyfood in Montreal as production and sales manager, and also worked as catering and sales manager with Boaden Catering. Most recently, he was general manager of Stanley Bridge Country Resort and Conference Centre, in Stanley Bridge, P.E.I.
