Dubai-based luxury hospitality company Jumeirah Group plans an August opening of a hotel in Shanghai, China, its first Asian property.
Slated for Shanghai’s downtown Luwan district, the Jumeirah HanTang Xintiandi will feature 309 guestrooms and suites along with a purpose-built wedding pavilion, Chinese restaurant and chocolate boutique.
Rounding out the hotel’s amenities will be conference and banquet facilities, Talise Wellness Spa, health and fitness club.
The property is located in the heart of Xintiandi, the restaurant, bar, retail and entertainment component of a planned 128-acre development in downtown Shanghai.
Late last year, a panel of media specialists, industry members and World Traveller Magazine readers named the HanTang Xintiandi Shanghai’s most-anticipated hotel, thanks to Jumeirah Grouup’s investment in innovative attractions and incorporation of historical elements from the Han & Tang dynasties.
