Lesley Boughen Named Vaughan Mills Tourism Coordinator
Vaughan Mills has appointed Lesley Boughen its new tourism coordinator. Boughen, who spent eight years at VisitBritain, the last two years as business development executive, will, in her new role, be responsible for generating tourism traffic to the enclosed, 250-store shopping centre just north of Toronto.
CHIP Promotes Key Executives
CHIP Hospitality has made changes to its senior management team.
Tony Cary-Barnard has been promoted to vice-president, asset management. Cary-Barnard has been with CHIP since 1997 and most recently, held the position of regional vice-president for the Northwest region. In his new role, he will lead the development of CHIP’s asset-management model.
Pierre Plamondon has been appointed vice-president, real estate.
Plamondon spent much of the 1980s and early 1990s in Asia and, in 2007, joined CHIP as regional vice-president for Quebec. He will lead the design, construction and engineering team as well as capital-project management.
Louis-Robert Handfield has been named regional vice-president, Quebec.
Handfield spent nine years in Asia with Westin Hotels. In his new role, he will continue to manage the Hilton Bonaventure and provide leadership to the four CHIP properties in the Quebec region.
Mark Medland is the new regional vice-president for Northern Alberta.
Medland will relocate to Edmonton from his current regional position in Ontario and will support the Northern Alberta hotels.
Trevor Morgan has been appointed regional vice-president, Ontario and Atlantic. Morgan will continue to lead the Atlantic properties, but will also take on the four Ontario properties. Morgan has been with CHIP since 1999.
Nathalie Jeghers has been named director of national sales. For the past three years, Jeghers has been the regional director of sales and marketing for Quebec and Atlantic region and in her new role, she will oversee the national sales team. She will also continue to be the regional director of sales and marketing for the Quebec region.
