Chris Avery Appointed VP, WestJet Vacations

Chris Avery has been promoted to vice-president of WestJet Vacations, effective Nov. 30, from his position as vice-president, revenue and planning.

In his new position, Avery will be responsible for the continued growth and development of WestJet Vacations.

Avery joined WestJet in 2005 and played a number of key leadership roles before becoming vice-president, revenue and planning.

During his 17-plus years in the airline industry, Avery has worked for a number of companies, including Alaska Airlines as director of capacity planning; Canadian Airlines as manager of Strategic planning and Transat Holidays and Fiesta West (now Signature Vacations).
