Holiday Inn Express hotels have put down roots in Kingston and Brockville, Ont, opening brand-new hotels in those Eastern Ontario cities. The new-build properties showcase the $1-billion Holiday Inn brand relaunch programme.
First announced in 2007, the relaunch focuses on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort, a boon to incentive groups staying at these corporate meeting venues.
The 88-room Kingston property is within a short driving distance of Kingston’s 1000 Island Cruises, Fort Henry National Historic Site, K-Rock Centre and Grand Theatre.
It’s close to several key businesses and institutions, including Empire Life, Queen’s University, Royal Military College, CFB Kingston, Invista and the Kingston Banquet & Conference Centre.
The 80-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Brockville is near the historic waterfront, Brockville Museum and the Historic Gunboat exhibit, making both properties a convenient option for meeting and event planners looking for hotel conference facilities.
