What does this mean to you? Averages are a blessing and a curse, since they provide an excellent benchmark, but because of their makeup, can appear wildly different than your situation.
Entry-level planners (note: not coordinators, but planners) make about $50,000/ year and a very experienced planner can earn over $100,000/year. All these ranges are above Canada’s national average; however, when you factor in the extra hours planners are required to work, you quickly realize the compensation is reasonable for our profession.
