I have seen too many exhibitors looking bored and/or unfriendly. I avoid them. As a planner now, I would like to offer another hint, I arrange the lunch to be served in the exhibit hall and I encourage exhibitors to take a lunch break and sit with attendees. They often get more leads and have a more meaningful conversation over lunch. It's relaxed and there are more people to draw into a conversation. The attendees don't feel like they are being "sold" a product or service.
