As part of its plans to help revitalize the city, the Tucson, Ariz., city council has voted to proceed with the development of a $167-million headquarters hotel to be built adjacent to the Tucson Convention Centre.
The 525-room, full-service hotel will feature 36,000 sq. ft. of meeting and ballroom space as well as a 1,160-space parking structure.
A top U.S. meeting place, Tucson expects to see its meeting and event facility open in 2012.
