The Canadian Tourism Commission and Frito Lay Canada are partnering to promote Canada as a tourism destination to Canadians next summer.

In 2010, Lay’s Potato Chips will be running a multi-million-dollar campaign in Canada called Lay’s Chip Trips as part of CTC’s summer stimulus programme.

Under the programme, consumers will collect and redeem points found on specially-marked Lay’s products for offers such as free or two-for-one entry to local attractions, experiences and hotels.

The campaign will run for over 16 weeks during the onset and peak summer travel period.

Industry members are invited to participate by partnering with other industry members to offer value offers in their areas to make their city, town, region or province a must-see for Canadians.

Frito Lay and Lay’s will handle in-store theatre and media support that will include promotion of the campaign on TV, radio, print and online activation.
