Culinary Capers Captures CATIE at Catersource


Vancouver-based Culinary Capers Catering and Special Events took top honours in the Best Barbecue or Picnic Menu category at the 2014 CATIE Awards (Catered Arts Through Innovative Excellence).

The CATIE Awards, which are presented by the International Caterers Association, recognize achievement of exemplary food production at an event. This year’s winners were announced at the annual Catersource Conference & Tradeshow, which was held March 23-26 at the Paris Hotel Las Vegas.

Culinary Capers’ winning entry was created for a corporate event that featured an exotic Filipino-inspired menu influenced by the best of British Columbia’s regional ingredients. Two hundred guests were treated to specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvre and showcased dishes of the Philippines that were roasted, grilled, prepared and plated at interactive food stations.
