Direct Energy Centre, Toronto.
The international media centre for the G20 Toronto Summit will be located at the Direct Energy Centre, in Exhibition Place.
Media accreditation will be required to enter the site. In addition, the media centre will offer facilities for broadcasters (TV editing booths and radio booths) and electronic, print and photographic media.
It will also offer media briefing rooms, offices for press officials and a news conference theatre. Complimentary foodservice will be provided on-site. There will be sufficient space available at the International Media Centre for national delegations wishing to set up their own media centre at their expense.
During the G20 Summit, accredited media representatives will be transported on a restricted pool basis between the media centre and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the host venue and, like the Direct Energy Centre, a magnet for events organized by meeting planners.
The media centre will open on June 23 and will operate 24 hours a day during the G20 and G8 summits.
