Dubai’s first low-cost airline, flydubai, has launched, with flights to four destinations in nine days, a boon to meeting planners organizing corporate events or incentive travel groups in the Middle East.
The first flight, to the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on June 1, was followed by flights to Amman, Jordan, on June 2; Damascus, Syria, on June 8 and Alexandria, Egypt, on June 9.
Flydubai’s model is simple, with customers only paying for the services they want. The ticket price includes all taxes and one piece of hand baggage, weighing up to 10 kg, per passenger.
