The Edmonton Exposition & Conference Centre has opened in the city’s Northlands complex.

Featuring over 522,000 sq. ft. of contiguous space, the convention facility integrates high-tech features with flexible indoor space and can host up to 25,000 visitors.

Additionally, the centre houses four new exhibit halls, a new conference area with meetings room and a 16,548-sq.-ft. ballroom, and new gallery spaces connecting the halls.

Hall configurations range from 29,328 sq. ft. to 77,472 sq. ft.

Also of interest to meeting and event planners are a business centre, a food court with licensed services and wireless Internet.

Green initiatives include recycling of everything from cardboard and bottles to cooking grease and the sand and rock chips used in parking lots in the winter.
