Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton Gateway is the recipient of the 2015 Housekeeping Award presented jointly by the Government of Alberta and the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). The hotel was presented with the award at the AHLA’s annual convention, which was held April 16-18, 2015 in Banff.
“We were delighted to receive this honour,” said Farid Janmohamed, area general manager, Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton Gateway. “Our associated and leadership team are passionate about offering guests clean, comfortable guest rooms, meeting rooms and public spaces that are impeccable and in top working order.”
AHLA and the Government of Alberta have been recognizing quality accommodations through the Housekeeping Awards since 1983. A letter sent by Alberta Minister of Culture and Tourism Maureen Kubinec explained that “the hotel was selected on the basis of findings and observations made in the course of Alberta’s Approved Accommodation Program.”
Four Points by Sheraton Gateway is located 15 kilometers from Edmonton International Airport and 25 minutes from the city’s downtown. Guests enjoy free bottled water; fast, complimentary WiFi; and access to an indoor pool and state-of-the-art fitness centre. The property has more than 5,000 square feet of meeting space and can accommodate groups of up to 100 guests.
