e=mc2 Wins Award for Teddy Bear Affair

AUSTIN, Tex. — Calgary-based e=mc2 events won a 2016 ILEA Esprit Award for Best Entertainment Production for Children’s Aid Foundation’s Teddy Bear Affair, it was announced in mid-August.

This is the company’s second Esprit award for work produced in the Toronto market since it expanded there in 2014, and its eleventh overall.

The ILEA Esprit Awards program, which takes place during the ILEA Live conference, is an annual awards competition that honours the professional achievements of individuals and organizations from across the ILEA membership.

e=mc2 events’ goal was to develop a strategic, informative and engaging entertainment program that would honour everything that the Children’s Aid Foundation represents. Ultimately, the gala supported the thousands of children and youth living in Canada’s welfare system.

The evening program, produced by e=mc2 event producer Trevor Howes and event manager Amanda Attard, included entertainment from host Jon Montgomery, solo artist Selena Evangeline accompanied by singer Jackie Richardson, a 12-person gospel choir, and a 140-person strong choir comprised of members of the George Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts.
